Often called EQ, EverQuest is a fantasy based MMORPG featuring a variety of species, character races, and unusual environments. EverQuest offers many opportunities for player-to-player interactions based on questing, commerce, the intrigue of political systems, and the ability to create alliances.
Many of the elements from EverQuest were drawn from the original text-based multi-user dungeon games. In EverQuest, players create and customize their in-game characters by selecting among a variety of races, classes and character attributes. Players carefully choose skills to pursue within the game, such as selecting the character's adventuring occupation. Once characters have been created, quests can be completed in cities and villages located across multiple continents, either by playing alone or within a group or guild context.
